Thank you for your interest in voluntary work at our school.  We value the role that our volunteers play and their contribution to school life.

We ask that you complete the volunteer application form, stating your strengths and skills, so we can place you in an appropriate role and assign you a placement mentor.  We always require two written references and where appropriate a current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service check).  The school will undertake any DBS checks and there is no fee payable by you.

Our safeguarding protocols require that 2 satisfactory references and a DBS check are in place BEFORE you start with us.  If you are a student a risk assessment and co-ordination with your current school, college or university is required.  Once your application has been received, these safeguarding checks take 3 - 4 working weeks to complete.

We work with Exeter and Plymouth Universities, Petroc and Tiverton High School to support student teacher and work experience placements, so at times do not have capacity to accept extra volunteers.  We will let you know at the earliest opportunity if this is the case.

All volunteers must have a good standard of spoken and written English and be able to communicate clearly.
