A beautiful day in Brixham today, where the children have enjoyed caving, abseiling and- of course- the beach. We've loved our adventure week and it's been so wonderful to see children discover and develop new skills. Crabbing later this evening, then games in the common room. Tomorrow morning we have orienteering, then it's back home to see our families and share stories of our wonderful week.
Another wonderful day of residential. Today was kayaking and rock climbing, but we started again with a hunt for treasures on the beach. During our climbing sessions we tried bouldering and practised our abseiling technique ready for the real thing tomorrow. Whilst kayaking, we were joined by some aquatic friends, which was really exciting! We can't wait for tomorrow's adventures. As one of our children has put it, "every day here is a brand new experience."
We had some friends join us when we were kayaking today!
A very full day! Early morning trip to the beach, followed by High Ropes, then raft building and sailing. We're all looking forward to a cosy film evening tonight!
A great first day: settling into our home for the week, developing our communication skills and perseverance through problem solving and a night walk around the harbour and along the breakwater to the light house.
We've arrived! All children are safe, happy and very excited. Already one adventure down: how to make a bed!
