Music
At Castle Primary School, we aim to use the music curriculum to enhance children’s enjoyment of music as well as developing their understanding of the structure and organisation of music. We encourage children to participate in a variety of musical experiences through which we aim to build up the confidence of all children. Our teaching uses the Charanga Music Scheme to help children to develop their appreciation of music, listen to and compare different pieces of music by different artists and musicians and to use this understanding to sing and compose their own pieces of music to perform for an audience.
