What have we been up to in EYFS?

We have had a busy few weeks being independent and exploring different activities. We have had lots of fun sharing and playing with our friends.

This week we had a visit from the Tiverton bee keepers. We had great fun listening to all the bee facts and exploring all the bee photos and equipment.

What a wonderful visit to the Grand Western Canal

We celebrated the King Coronation with lots of fun activities. We have enjoyed being the King in the role play area and collaging the King on the art table. We enjoyed making marble paint flags for the King celebration afternoon and we had great fun making jam sandwiches for our tea part. .

We have had lots of fun this week. We started our plant and minibeast topic by digging and exploring in the soil. We have also played on the outdoor equipment practising our balancing and climbing skills.

We have had a busy week. We had so much fun in our Science workshop to celebrate Science week. We enjoyed wearing our home clothes for Red Nose Day and taking part in different Red Nose activities..

We have had a good week! We had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day and enjoyed sharing our favourite books.

A fantastic trip to Paignton Zoo

Where in the world would you go? Learning about Lunar New Year.

This week we have been busy and have had lots of fun. We have been learning about the book 'Handa's Suprise' and we have been acting out the story. We have made animal patterns and have printed with different fruits to make Handa's basket.

As part of our new topic we explored different fruits from around the world. We enjoyed tasting them and finding out where in the world they grow. We also blindfolded ourselves to see if we could use our sense of taste, smell and touch to guess the fruit.

Merry Christmas - Well done to all EYFS children on a fantastic Nativity performance.

What a busy week in EYFS!

The children looked fantastic dressed in their spots to raise awareness for Children in Need.

Autumn 2- Week 2- We have been learning about our topic 'I wonder what happens at night'. We have also learnt about Remembrance Day and have enjoyed doing some poppy activities.

Week 7- Autumn. We visited the park where we collected leaves and sticks and made Autumn repeating patterns. We learnt about hedgehogs and made our own clay hedgehogs using our sticks from the park.

Week 5 - Are we all the same? What a busy week we have had, making cakes and being very adventurous in our PE lesson.
